  • Two team match events will be offered: a “themed” team match, and a Newcomer team match. Schools should register for the team matches by mailing a Team Entry Form before October 21, 2017.
  • Each school is only allowed to enter one set of participants in the themed team match, and one set of participants in the Newcomer team match. The only exception to this rule occurs when there is more than one distinct collegiate team from one school; in this case, each collegiate team is treated as a separate school.
  • In order to compete in the Newcomer team match, both members of a couple must be eligible to dance in the Newcomer division for closed-syllabus events.
  • No individual may compete in more than one dance within each team match event.
  • Non-collegiate studios may register for the “themed” team match, but may not register for the Newcomer team match.
  • Collegiate teams are strongly encouraged to compete with entirely different rosters for each team match.
  • The dances that will comprise the themed team match will be announced a few weeks prior to the Invitational via email and via the Facebook event.
  • The dances that will comprise the Newcomer team match will be selected through a random drawing during the competition.
