Tentative Schedule:

9:00 a.m. Syllabus Smooth and Standard
11:45 a.m. Multi-Dance Smooth and Standard
12:30 p.m. Break
1:00 p.m. Syllabus Rhythm
3:15 p.m. Multi-Dance Rhythm
4:00 p.m. Break
5:00 p.m. Fun Dances (Spectators can join in!)
6:00 p.m. Syllabus Latin
7:15 p.m. Multi-Dance Latin
7:45 p.m. DISNEY TEAM MATCH!!!

*This schedule is tentative and subject to change the day of. Please, be in the SRC Maroon Gym and ready to dance with plenty of time to spare. (An hour is good.)

Team Match will include:

Simba’s Samba, Hercules’ Hustle, Sleeping Beauty’s Waltz and Genie’s Jive/Quickstep. Come prepared to show your team/Disney spirit.

Note about Fun Dances: All spectators are welcome to join in the Fun dances. So if you just want to dance Salsa or Argentine, etc. Just come to the Competition on Saturday and buy a spectator ticket.

Greetings from Arizona!

Devil DanceSport is glad to invite you to the second annual Devil DanceSport Invitational (DDSI)! It will be held at the sunny campus of Arizona State University.

The competition will include amateur single dance events, amateur multi-dance events and in keeping the collegiate tradition, a crazy themed team match event. There is one entry fee for all of the events, so come and dance your hearts out.

As a courtesy, coaches, non-competing organizers or captains will not be charged to attend our event in order to encourage them to cheer on their teams. Just submit a blank registration form indicating your name, team and position by March 12, 2010.

Also, we are excited to add a formation team competition to our event. Please see the formation team entry form for information on registering your team or teams.

An individual may only enter in their level and one higher in any given style in both Single and Multi-dance. An individual may enter a total of THREE LEVELS combined in any given style. For example a dancer can enter Bronze and Silver and Novice; Silver and Gold and Champ; Gold and Novice and Pre-Champ. BUT NOT Bronze and Silver and Gold.

The date is set. Registration is now open. Start practicing because the annual USA Dance Phoenix DanceSport Challenge will begin on February 20, 2010.

Every year around February, ballroom dancers from Phoenix and beyond gather to compete at the Phoenix Challenge. This is the amateur ballroom competition create by the wonderful people at Phoenix Chapter of USA Dance. The event covers all the major styles of ballroom dancing we all know and love. All skill levels are welcome. Devil DanceSport is always a major participant in this event.

Deadline for entries is February 8th, 2010.

First Meeting Of The Year

Our first meeting will be Saturday, Sept. 5 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm in Small Gym C, upstairs in the S.R.C. It will be an informational meeting for new and interested members where we will talk about our club and answer any questions you might have. This will also be our first dance lesson of the year. Past members, please come and renew your paperwork. As always, no partner or experience is necessary, all are welcome!
