Devil DanceSport offers a whole array of lessons and workshops. These offerings are tailored to cater to dancers of all skill levels!

Want to see which lessons are coming up? Check out the DDS Calendar!

DDS 101 — Introduction to Partnership Dancing

Are you new to ballroom dance? Don’t know if you have two left feet? Don’t worry! This class is focused for beginner dancers just like you. We will cover basic concepts of dance, and we will put some extra focus on social dances.

These classes are held on Saturdays and Sundays, from noon to 1:00 p.m at Small Gym D in the Sun Devil Fitness Center.

Advanced dancers are more than welcome to attend these lessons, as your help is always appreciated.

DDS 201 — Principles of Latin/Ballroom Dancing

If you have had a little bit more experience, this class is for you. DDS 201 covers more complex dances and patterns, and introduces more technique than our beginner classes. These classes will have content applicable to both social and competitive dancing.

These classes are held on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m (immediately after the DDS 101 lessons), at Small Gym D in the Sun Devil Fitness Center. Following these lessons, we will have a supervised practice until 3:00 p.m. to give you a chance to review the concepts you learned.

DDS 301 — Advanced DanceSport Training

We have not forgotten about our advanced dancers. For you, we offer DDS 301, Advanced DanceSport Training.

As the name implies, DDS 301 has a heavy focus on competitive dancesport. On selected Sundays, we will be hosting advanced workshops taught by professional instructors. These workshops will be open to all intermediate/advanced ASU dancers, regardless of DDS membership. However, Devil DanceSport will heavily subsidize the cost of these workshops for club members, and we anticipate members will pay $10 or less for a two-hour workshop. (Non-members will be charged between $20 and $30 for the workshop.) You can make up the cost of the $25 sport club fee simply by going to one or two workshops!

Advanced DanceSport Training workshops will be announced on our calendar, on our Facebook events list, on our mailing list, and on our Facebook members’ group.
